OverviewAuto Legends provides a unique overview of the key moments of car design worldwide. Now updated and reissued in hardback format, this beautifully presented book gathers together more than 60 of the most important and coveted cars ever made, from the 'horseless carriages' of the early twentieth century, such as the Ford Model T of 1908, to the breathtaking Bugatti Veyron of 2005 and the striking Audi R8 of 2012. Renowned automotive journalist Robert Cumberford provides a concise, authoritative overview of motoring milestones and then goes on to describe succinctly the history, performance and essential design features of each vehicle. Every entry is illustrated by unparalleled images, including close-up shots, by Michel Zumbrunn, one of the world's foremost car photographers. The book concludes with biographies of leading car designers, a full technical glossary and an international directory of car collections and museums.
