Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationChris Johanson has been involved in the automotive service industry for more than 35 years, as a technician, instructor, and author. He has a bachelor's degree in industrial arts education and has written several books on the subject of automotive technology. Mr. Johanson is an ASE-certified master technician and has ASE certifications in Advanced Engine Performance (L1), Light Vehicle Diesel Engines (A9), Light-Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicles (L3), Auto Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Exhaust Systems (X1) and Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling. Brandon Baldwin has worked for 27 years as a technician and 18 years as an automotive professor. He began his career as a technician at a Cadillac and Buick dealership and then went on to an independent shop before having his own repair shop while also teaching automotive technology. He is currently the program lead for the State University of New York (SUNY) Canton College of Technology, where he restructured the curriculum and created new courses to reflect changing technology, including courses in hybrid and electric vehicles. Mr. Baldwin also provides Snap-On training at the college and for technicians in the field, while adding new diagnostic techniques he developed himself. He is an ASE-certified master technician and holds certifications in Advanced Engine Performance (L1), Light Duty Hybrid/Electric Vehicles (L3), Exhaust Systems (X1), and Alternate Fuels (F1) Mr. Baldwin's grant writing has been the source for many projects and tools in the SUNY auto lab, including a dynamometer used for drivability diagnostics.
