Overview

The Experience Community was started February 15th 2009 with no funding, denominational support, or any outside help in a basement in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. In Just 6 and a half years God has grown a congregation of almost 2000 of the most eclectic and broken people in attendance each week. This is the story about a church that should have never succeeded because of the obstacles in their path, but through Christ, it has flourished into a powerful vessel that is advancing the Kingdom of God.

Author Information

Corey Trimble was born in St. Louis, but now lives in Murfreesboro, TN. He became a believer in 2002 after living a life of addiction while playing music for several years on the road with multiple punk/hardcore bands. He graduated with a B.A. in English Literature from Middle Tennessee State University and went on to teach High School and College English. Although Corey has never attended formal seminary, he became a student pastor in 2005 before leaving the church where he became a Christian to start The Experience Community in 2009. Moreover, Corey has been asked to speak at numerous churches and leadership conferences on structure, team-building, and leadership principles that have helped The Experience grow from three people to almost 2,000 in just six years. Corey is very open about his short-comings and insecurities, which makes his pastoring style very unique and refreshing. Corey has been married for eleven years to his wife Alicia, and they have two girls. Josh Brooker was born and raised in Dalton, GA. He received his B.S. from Southeastern University and his M.A. in teaching from Lee University. A former English teacher, Josh now serves at the Experience Community as the Executive Pastor. Josh lives in Murfreesboro with his wife Jenni and their son Aden.
