Shannon Hale is the New York Times bestselling author of over fifty books, which have sold more than fifteen million copies in North America and been translated into dozens of languages worldwide. Austenland was her first novel about Pembrook Park and its regulars, followed by Midnight in Austenland and Christmas in Austenland. With director Jerusha Hess, Shannon co-wrote the screenplay to the film Austenland, starring Keri Russell and Jennifer Coolidge. Her novels for young readers include The Goose Girl, Book of a Thousand Days, and Newbery Honor winner Princess Academy. She has co-created many graphic novels, such as the Friends series of memoirs (with LeUyen Pham), the Dream On series (with Marcela Cespedes), Eisner nominee Rapunzel’s Revenge (with Dean Hale and Nathan Hale), and Princess Academy: the Graphic Novel (with Victoria Ying).
