Author Information

Laura Incalcaterra McLoughlin teaches translation, interpreting and language (Italian) at the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has published extensively on foreign language acquisition and use of subtitling in foreign language teaching and learning, especially at an advanced level. Marie Biscio is a research student in Italian and French studies at the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has worked as a research assistant on subtitling and didactics. Her research interests include audiovisual translation, particularly interlingual subtitling and multilingual subtitling. Máire Áine Ní Mhainnín teaches French language and literature at the National University of Ireland, Galway. She has published on French literature.
