Overview

Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a psychiatric condition affecting young children and adolescents, characterised by inappropriate high levels of hyperactivity, inattention and impulsivity. A strong genetic basis for ADHD has been documented by family, twin and adoption studies.
