Author Information

Dr. Kanel has been at the Keck School of Medicine at USC since 1979, with interests centering on liver pathology and pathophysiologic concepts. He has co-authored over one hundred journal articles, abstracts and book chapters and has received several teaching awards. A former Chairman of the Bioethics Resource Committee at the world-renown Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center, Dr. Kanel is currently the Associate Pathologist and Director of the Autopsy Division at LAC+USC Medical Center and Co-Director of University Pathology Associates
