Each histological type germ cell tumour has a separate chapter, consisting of a text describing incidence and clinical features, the macro- and microscopic appearances, including immunohistochemical demonstration of tumour markers and, finally, a brief discussion of important differential diagnoses. There are colour illustrations of the neoplasms, as well as their common and less common variants. Five further chapters deal with the histogenesis and classification of the neoplasms, practical procedures, tumour markers and incidence.
