Overview

In the 6th edition of this atlas the WHO classification published in 2001 has been integrated and recently described types of leukemia and lymphoma have been documented by figures and descriptions. Among these are leukeumias of dendritic cells, rare lymphomas and the persistent polyclonal B lymphocytosis which takes an exceptional position. All microscopical methods in haematology forming the basics of diagnostic are presented as well as modern immunologic, cytogenetic and molecular-genetic results. Special reference is placed on cytogenetic and molecular-genetic characterization of biological entities which might form the basis for innovative therapies.Normal results and pathological findings are compared. Alos the different findings during therapy are shown. Thus the Atlas of Clinical Hematology is a complete and helpful reference work which should be present in every haematological and oncological department as well as in clincial laboratories for online diagnostics and scientific research
