Overview“Of all the people who have affected my life and influenced the choices I’ve made, none has been more important than my father.”—Teddy Atlas In this gritty, spellbinding tale, legendary boxing trainer and commentator Teddy Atlas recounts his fascinating life, growing from the rebellious son of a doctor to a man who embraces, and lives by, his father’s code. A juvenile delinquent who would become a Golden Gloves boxer and later, a trainer of champions, contenders, dancers, and actors, Atlas speaks candidly of the people whose lives have touched his: famed trainer Cus D’Amato; Sammy “the Bull” Gravano; Mike Tyson; heavyweight champion Michael Moore; Twyla Tharpe; Willem Dafoe. Inimitable, touching, honest, and wise Atlas is as unforgettable as the man it reveals.
