O enxofre elementar é um dos fungicidas e pesticidas mais antigos. No nosso trabalho, tentámos sintetizar nanopartículas de enxofre numa base de surfactante sintético CTAB e/ou CPBr com tamanho inferior a 60 nm e estudar o seu efeito sobre M. furfur juntamente com extrato natural da planta Reetha. Desta forma, pode ser desenvolvido um sistema surfactante orgânico e suave com nanopartículas para o tratamento de fungos da espécie Malasezia, causadores da caspa. O estudo centrou-se principalmente na síntese e na gama de eficácia desta mistura.
