Kris Erway's first job was in the Jerome, Idaho Public Library, where she used to sneak into the children's section to read the books. She earned a BA in English and an MBA at the University of Oregon and worked as a university administrator for 36 years. At the Odd Zoo is her first book. She started it after the final stanza popped into her head one day and completed it during a children's literature writing class. She is retired and lives in Alameda, California with her husband. Cathy Sankey is retired from a looooong career in healthcare accounting. She enjoys using the creative side of her brain on fun projects such as illustrating this, her third book project.Kris and Cath have been friends for over 50 years and they both love ice cream.
