John Piper is founder and teacher of desiringGod.org and chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary. For thirty-three years, he served as pastor at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Minneapolis, Minnesota. John and his wife, Noel, have four sons, a daughter, and twelve grandchildren. He is the author of more than seventy books, and more than thirty years of his preaching and teaching is available free of charge at desiringGod.org. Maurice England's story begins with listening to over 1,000 audiobooks while trucking over the road . . . and dreaming of possibilities behind the mic. In June of 2006 the door opened supernaturally it seemed, and a few months later in October, Maurice began his narration career recording in Chicago. With more than one hundred and sixty-five titles, he demonstrates that one can work productively online from nearly anywhere in the world. Beginning in Chicago, then to Atlanta, and Cuenca, Ecuador; next came Greater Metro Manila, Philippines. Escaping the stifling heat of the lowlands, today Maurice records from the mountain resort of Baguio, Philippines. An avid reader, he frequents libraries, bookstores, coffee shops, public parks, and diners, and takes pleasure in luxury bus day trips (listening to favorite narrators along the way), journaling, NFL Dawg Pound Football, new restaurants, and early morning city views from the balcony of the downtown condo he shares with his wife and best friend, Cora.
