Overview

Having asthma can be scary. But it doesn't have to stop you from leading an active life. It helps to know more about the disease and how it is treated. Find out what you can do to take care of yourself if you have asthma, and how you can help others who have it, too. Level 3 readers are aimed at children who are reading by themselves and can grasp new concepts. Key words and captions help readers understand new vocabulary and more challenging sentence structure. Author Information

Sarah became an editor after many years of working as a bookseller, columnist and reviewer. She has also taught courses on writing, editing and publishing. Sarah was an editor at Orca Book Publishers for thirteen years before she (semi)-retired to become a freelance editor. She is also the author of a baker's dozen of books for young readers (board book to YA). When she's not reading, writing or editing, Sarah runs around after her three grandchildren, does yoga, (to counteract the effects of running around after small children), walks, draws and meditates. Alexis Roumanis graduated from Simon Fraser University's Master of Publishing program in 2009. Since then, he has edited hundreds of children's books, and written more than 100 educational books. His audience includes children in grades K-12 as well as university students. Alexis lives with his wife and three young boys in British Columbia, Canada. He enjoys the outdoors, reading a good book, and has a passion for learning new things.
