OverviewThis book is aimed at assessing and modeling of gullies and badlands in Agulu-Nanka-Oko and Ekwulobia gully erosion complexes of Anambra state in order to predict future scenarios and to provide mitigation measures.In order to achieve the aim, the following specific objectives were determined. i. analyze the nature of the terrain and classify it into levels of erosion hazardii. identify and determine the forms, nature and extent of gullies and gully erosion in the study areaiii. determine and assess gully advancement from 1985 to 2020 and predict future advancement into agricultural landsiv. estimate extent and volume of soil loss using RUSLE model so that planning of management techniques can be suggested.v. to determine the perceived causes and effects of gully erosion on the livelihoods and environment of the local community.
