Overview

A Templar and an Assassin are caught up in a quest for vengeance during the French Revolution in this novel based on the Assassin's Creed(TM) video game series. ""I have been beaten, deceived and betrayed. They murdered my father--and I will have my revenge at whatever cost!"" 1789: The magnificent city of Paris sees the dawn of the French Revolution. The cobblestone streets run red with blood as the people rise against the oppressive aristocracy. But revolutionary justice comes at a high price . . . At a time when the divide between the rich and the poor is at its most extreme, and a nation is tearing itself apart, a young man and woman fight to avenge all they have lost. Soon Arno and Élise are drawn into the centuries-old battle between the Assassins and the Templars--a world with dangers more deadly than they could ever have imagined. Contains mature themes.

Author Information

Oliver Bowden is a pseudonym for an acclaimed novelist. Heather Wilds has appeared in numerous plays on the London stage to great critical acclaim. She has also performed in award-winning films, appeared on TV and in commercials, and works as an audiobook narrator and voice actress. Kevin Kemp is an award-winning British actor, narrator, and voice-over artist with a professional career of more than twenty years. He loves narrating all genres, but his specialties include sci-fi and fantasy (as a keen nerd, this suits him very well!), philosophy and academic nonfiction, and comedy. As a dialect coach, Kevin also enjoys titles that give him an accent challenge! His own accent is a relaxed RP/Estuary, which suits everyman stories very well, but with a background in classical and Shakespearean theater, he is confident in more epic settings too. Apart from the above, Kevin really does just love reading, absorbing nonfiction and bestsellers. He loves building rich and personal worlds for his listeners and chatting with them on social media; he can be found online at @KevinKempVO.
