Overview

"A little meatball lives in southern Italy and dreams of a grandiose life filled with the luxury of Milan and the relaxation of Capri. However, what she finds when she leaves her home under a kitchen cupboard is that her life as a meatball confines her to a different reality; one of being cooked and served! Our main character, Polpetta, takes us on a journey through Italy as she reaches for beauty, fame and wealth. In a world where children grow up too soon, the simple message given to Polpetta is, ""Aspetta, Polpetta!"" the only Italian featured in the book, which translates to, ""Wait, Polpetta!"" Ultimately, Polpetta finds everything she's ever wanted in an unexpected way: simplicity."
