Author Information

John Zehring has served United Church of Christ congregations for twenty-four years as Senior Pastor in Massachusetts (Andover), Rhode Island (Kingston), Maine (Augusta) and as an Interim Pastor in Massachusetts (Arlington, Harvard). Prior to parish ministry, he served in executive administration at colleges and a theological seminary for more than two decades. He has taught church administration at a seminary as well as college courses in public speaking, creative writing, psychology and education. He is the author of more than three dozen books and eBooks, including Beyond Stewardship: A Church Guide to Generous Giving Campaigns (Judson Press) and You Can Run a Capital Campaign: A Guide for Church Leaders (Abingdon Press). John and his wife Donna live in two places, by the coast of Maine and in central Massachusetts.
