She is currently at SW Artists agency in New York City. Margaret graduated with honors from Princeton University, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and subsequently from the Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theatre. Her New York acting studies also included the Stella Adler Studio. She has been a performer and director; headed The Shakespeare Workshop-a national Shakespearean company; served as an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College; and is a member of New York Women in Film and Television. She is an adjunct faculty member and curriculum developer at NYU's School of Professional Studies (NYU-SPS) for their Talent Program. Margaret founded and continues to conduct The Emory Seminars-a program on the business of acting that she has taken to the North Carolina School of the Arts, the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill), and the University of Michigan, among others. In New York, she is a frequent guest at Actors Connection, One on One Seminars, and The Network. Margaret created the popular Ask an Agent column for Back Stage which led to the writing of this book.
