Andrew Extein is a psychotherapist and author in Silver Lake, Los Angeles. His YA sensibility grew from corny Full House to painfully dark Welcome to the Dollhouse, Dennis Cooper's bleak beauty, and early David Sedaris's immediate wit, while work with kids and teens attempts to keep him grounded-building into biting dark comedy and embarrassing earnestness.
