Overview

Musical score to Aset (for Speaker and Prepared Piano) by avant-garde composer Dawn K. Williams. The piece is a setting of an ancient Egyptian hymn to the goddess Isis, inscribed in hieroglyphs on a wall of the Temple of Isis on the island of Philae. Her music has been played in North America, Europe, and Asia, and has been broadcast worldwide. Her vocal performances range from traditional opera and concert music to avant-garde and unaccompanied works with extended techniques. She holds degrees from the Indiana University-Bloomington School of Music.
