James was born on October 22, 2007, with congenital cytomegalovirus, and was diagnosed with Spastic Quadriplegia Cerebral Palsy when he was one.Journey with me, through the highs and the lows of raising a fully dependent, disabled child. What I have written is going to be uncomfortably honest. It is the thoughts that most of us keep hidden forever. The things we would never dare give voice to. Too many people are walking so alone. Too many people feel trapped and don't know how to reach out.Let me reach out to you. Step into a small piece of our world, and the hearts of so many families doing the very same thing. And I dare you not to fall in love with James by the end! Lets break down the walls that those with disabilities, and those raising them, feel trapped behind.
