OverviewNik Roche tells stories with the friends he makes. When NIk first met Tony in the street, he was annoyed that there was a beer waiting for him on a bar somewhere, the name of which he could not remember. They found it together and became good friends. Over the next three years Tony told Nik more about his life. Tony’s was a colourful and unusual life. He had lived, for several years, in a cave in Nepal, after the leopard moved out. When they met, even though Tony had a house in an old South Wales mining village, he preferred to live in an arctic bell tent in the woods behind. Interwoven with darkly comical yet poetic text of conversations Nik and Tony had along the way, this is an intimate portrait of life outside of societal norms – a story of chance encounters and an exploration of friendship, love, and belonging.
