Usually referred to as a human encyclopedia, and an Icon of the South Asian community, the well-known, versatile TV commentator, broadcaster, and writer Dr. Bikram Lamba, apart from being a teacher, a political and business strategist. Holding the degrees of M.A. and Ph.D., he taught at Delhi University and was also actively assisting the Prime Minister as a political strategist to the Prime Minister of India. He assisted in the development of the country, both economically and politically. He thereafter shifted to corporate world, where he was General manager and thereafter CEO of multinational companies. Having proved his worth both in Academia and in the corporate world, he set up management consultancy organization called Chanakya Consultants Pvt. Ltd.. It became a leading organization and was instrumental in helping India adopt a highway to economic growth. We assisted in establishment of a new Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources- the first in India and also helped establish multi-modal transport system in Arunanchal Pradesh-an isolated province in north bordering China. The activities covered the globe and the organization became a partner organization of UN. In 1999, he immigrated to Canada and established himself as a writer, speaker and a visionary community leader. In 2010, 45000 Canadians signed a petition to the Prime Minister that he be appointed the Governor General of Canada. YMCA awarded him the prestigious 2010 Peace Medallion for community service, leadership, and being a role model for the promotion of global peace. He was honored by the Lt. Governor and awarded for Free Speech and Human Rights, and awarded Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for services to the community
