He holds B.Sc, M.Sc and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering. He was a Mechanical Engineer in YTL Corporation prior to joining academics. At UTP he was Director of Mission Oriented Research group for Hybrid Energy Systems from 2009 to 2017.
