OverviewChatbots use advanced technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML) to interact with learners, on one hand, to facilitate their learning, and on the other, with teachers, helping them in the accomplishment of their tasks, thereby reducing professional burnout. A case study shows that the chatbot developed with the Xatkit framework-and a proposed Encoder-Decoder framework for intent recognition (the encoder coded as contextual representations using a bidirectional transformer (CamemBERT) and the intent classification decoder to detect the student's intent)-improves students' understanding of subjects and reduces teachers' workload. In another study, researchers explored how the personalization of chatbot interactions can enhance user engagement by adapting the chatbot's communication style to the user's personality. This has improved and simplified teaching for professors and learning for students, while reducing burnout.
