Dr. Dilber Uzun Ozsahin is an associate professor of College of Health Science, Medical Diagnostic Imaging Department at the University of Sharjah since 2021. She graduated from the Department of Physics at Çukurova University in 2006. She worked at CERN, Geneva during 2008-20 10 for her master’s thesis. She completed her PhD studies on medical imaging for breast cancer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain in 2014. Between 2015 16, she worked at the Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School as a postdoctoral researcher. She has been working as an associate professor in the Biomedical Engineering Department at Near East University and the DESAM Institute between 2016 and 2021. She and her group are the first group to apply operational research tools to solve biomedical and medical problems. She is the director of the Operational Research Center in Healthcare, Near East University since 2020. Also, she is the board member of the DESAM Institute, Near East University since 2018.
