Author Information

Claudia Cabello Hutt is an associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received her BA in literature and linguistics from the Catholic University of Chile, and her PhD in Spanish and Latin American literature from Rutgers University. Cabello Hutt’s research focuses on modern Latin America with emphasis on intellectual history, transnational/ transatlantic networks of writers and intellectuals, gender studies, and queer theory. She has published on Gabriela Mistral as well as on the conditions of cultural production and the networks involving writers and artists such as Victoria Ocampo, Alfonsina Storni, Carmen Conde, and Maruja Mallo. - Claudia Cabello Hutt es profesora asociada en la Universidad de Carolina del Norte, Greensboro. Es licenciada en lengua y literatura de la Universidad Católica de Chile y doctora en literatura latinoamericana, con una concentración en estudios de género, de la Universidad de Rutgers. Su investigación se enfoca en la modernidad Latinoamericana, historia intelectual, redes transnacionales y transatlánticas, estudios de género y teoría queer. Ha publicado numerosos ensayos acerca de Gabriela Mistral así como de redes de escritores y artistas como Victoria Ocampo, Alfonsina, Storni, Carmen Conde y Maruja Mallo en relación con las condiciones de producción cultural transatlántica de la primera mitad del siglo XX.
