Overview

Founded in 1999, Art Quilt Elements (AQE) 2022 is the 15th exhibition of this internationally acclaimed show set in suburban Philadelphia. This exhibition has been widely praised by reviewers and artists not only for exhibiting the quilts in a gallery setting but also for promoting the quilt as an art form. Juried by Jane Milosh, Paula Nadelstern and Jason Pollen, this exhibition of art quilts includes work by fifty artists from the US, Australia and Canada. The work juried into this exhibition embraces original and innovative methods and incorporates impressive craftsmanship and technical prowess. This beautiful 64-page exhibition catalog features a full-page image of each quilt accompanied by the artist's statement, as well as introductory essays by Nancy Campbell, Wayne Art Center Executive Director, and Cindy Friedman, Art Quilt Elements founder. The AQE 2022 jurors introduce the exhibition with reflections on their selection process.
