Author Information

Born in San Francisco, Michelle was raised in the Bay Area in its era of blossoms, prior to silicon. Her young passions were languages and philosophy and she attended Barnard College in NYC. Her grown-up life included contract administration, working in resorts, running restaurants and bars, being a real estate broker, a professional artist and over 40 years owning art galleries and consulting to artists. She designed and authored one book about her former husband that won an International Design award, co-authored another book on spiritual journeying which is in its 3rd printing. She is still active as a consultant, writer and speaker in the art field. Her other passions include her little poodle, Nelli, and the Santa Fe Institute, which researches complex adaptive systems, everything from slime mold to terrorism.
