A former U.S. Army Ranger who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, Paul Scharre is the director of the Technology and National Security Program at the Center for a New American Security. He is also a contributor to Foreign Policy, Politico, and the New York Times. He lives in Virginia. Roger Wayne hails from small-town Minnesota.
