Castelli received her doctorate in Philosophy from the Scuola Normale Superiore of Pisa in 2008. Before joining LMU Munich as a Humboldt postdoctoral fellow she worked at the Scuola Normale of Pisa, the University of Oxford (Exeter College and Christ Church, Faculty of Philosophy) and Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen. She is currently working on a project of research sponsored by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) on topical and analytical approaches to deductive arguments in Aristotle and the post-Aristotelian tradition.
