Author Information

Tomohiko Kondo is Associate Professor of Philosophy at the Faculty of Letters, Keio University, Japan. His research focuses on Hellenistic and Roman philosophy, with published articles and book chapters on the Stoic, Platonic and Aristotelian traditions. He is also active in a collaborative project on the receptions of Greek and Roman antiquity in Japan. Koji Tachibana is Associate Professor of Philosophy at Chiba University, Japan, and International Associate Scholar at Georgetown University Medical Center, USA. He is the editor of Alternative Virtues: Japanese Perspectives on Christian and Confucian Traditions (Routledge, 2025) and has published many articles, including ‘Virtue Ethics Embedded: Aristotelianism in the Post-War Japanese Moral Education’ (Journal of Moral Education, 2024) and ‘The Consciousness of Virtue’ (Frontiers in Psychology, 2024, with E. Nakazawa).
