Overview

Originally developed as part of a college curriculum, this is the second volume in a two-part series of workbooks that walks the reader through modeling a residence using Revit(R) 2014. As with Volume I, the chapter sequence follows a workflow-based approach and continues to progressively refine the model. In this volume, the reader continues to work with the model developed in Volume I, and will be introduced to extracting information from the model using schedules and other annotation elements. Additionally, detailing, drawing sheets, site design, Revit Links with shared coordinates, and presentation will also be introduced. This full-color text employs the same unique instructional graphics as Volume I, helping to guide the reader visually through completing a series of steps.

Author Information

Rob Danner began using Revit(R) Architecture 9 in 2006 on his own residential design projects in the Southwest. After a few years of relentless determination to harness the power of this software, he reflected on his frustrations with the lack of comprehensive tutorials that not only focus what works, but also what to do when things don't work. After relocating to the Pacific Northwest, Rob decided it was time to begin sharing his in-depth knowledge of Revit(R) and now teaches at South Puget Sound Community College in Olympia, Washington. Over the last four years, Rob has used the BIM House series in his Building Information Modeling curriculum at the college. This has provided ample opportunity to test, refine, and prove the effectiveness of the book's content.
