He is also a correspondent étranger at the Unité Mixte de Recherche AOROC of the École Normale Supérieure - Université PSL in Paris where he previously worked as a researcher following the award of a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship. Specializing in the Archaeology of Architecture, Archaeoseismology, and three-dimensional surveying systems, he has led European and international research projects focusing on knowledge, conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage. He is a member of several editorial and scientific committees, and he has authored over 100 scientific publications. In addition to his research, he has taught at universities and doctoral programs in Italy, Spain, Austria and France, and regularly participates in international conferences on Medieval Archaeology and the application of new technologies to cultural heritage.
