Jones is a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and director of the Environmental Modeling Research Laboratory at Brigham Young University. David R. Maidment is Hussein M. Alharthy Centennial Chair in Civil Engineering, and director of the Center for Research in Water Resources at the University of Texas at Austin.
