OverviewAquatin-Season 1: The Rise is the second installment of the Indus universe and tells the origin story of Aron Sharma, a Mumbai-based engineer who becomes a superhero not through ancient relics or destiny, but through human intelligence, technology, and choice. After the collapse of a corrupt tech company leaves Aron and his colleagues, Rithik and Abdul, unemployed and discarded, the three men refuse to disappear quietly. Using scrap materials, stolen hours, and raw engineering skill, they begin building advanced technology in the shadows-powered combat suits, surveillance systems, and eventually a hidden operational base. What begins as survival slowly turns into something far more dangerous. Guided from the shadows by MG, a mysterious figure with knowledge of a larger hidden war, Aron becomes Aquatin, a masked vigilante operating within Mumbai's criminal underworld. Targeting gangs, traffickers, and networks beyond the reach of law enforcement, Aquatin quickly becomes a viral symbol-hunted by police, feared by criminals, and watched by the world. The season escalates when the global terror organization A/B Group enters the conflict. During a staged rescue near the Nicobar Islands, Aquatin saves Vir, Arjan, and Simrit, marking the first major crossover of the Indus Universe. A/B retaliates by launching an attack on Mumbai itself, deploying a Water Operative and a machine capable of draining the city's lakes. As Mumbai faces collapse, Aquatin leads a desperate counterstrike to save the city. The season ends with escalation, not victory. Aquatin reveals himself publicly, declares war on A/B, and earns the attention of Rami, the group's leader-who responds not with retreat, but with plans for a far greater weapon. Aquatin is no longer hidden. The city has chosen a symbol. And the war has begun. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationPaul Khokhar is an Indian author and the creator of the Indus Universe, a connected superhero saga that blends modern India with ancient civilizations, technology, and elemental power. Known for grounding extraordinary abilities in realistic settings, Paul's stories focus on ordinary people forced into impossible choices, where intelligence, responsibility, and restraint matter more than destiny. The Indus Universe was conceived as a long-form narrative universe, where multiple heroes such as Aquatin and the Indus Heroes rise independently before their stories collide during larger global conflicts. Drawing inspiration from Indian geography, forgotten histories like the Indus Valley civilization, and contemporary social realities, Paul builds superhero stories that feel rooted, human, and culturally authentic. Rather than portraying heroes as flawless icons, his work explores failure, fear, moral ambiguity, and the cost of power. Through the Indus Universe, Paul Khokhar aims to create a distinctly Indian superhero mythology that evolves across books, seasons, and character arcs-where every action leaves consequences and every origin matters.
