It is a time travel that shows: the disappearance of the buffalo and the indigenous peoples, the rise of tobacco and slavery, the arrival/emergence of aliens, and urban growth. The persecution of the arrived led them to awaken (like the cicadas), which pushed the new natives to continue their expansion -Up Thus, giving a break for life to return. She loves to collect rocks, shells, and feathers while looking after nature's wonders. She also likes to read, travel, draw, and paint. She lives in Chapel Hill, NC, with her brother Joel and her parents, Dalia and Miguel. She speaks only Spanish at home! Miguel Rojas Sotelo is a scholar, author, and visual artist working on environmental justice issues and Indigenous cultural sovereignty. He was born in Colombia, Bogotá, and grew up in the mountains of Ubaque, Cundinamarca. He migrated to the U.S. in 2001 and recently became a citizen. He lives with his wife, Dalia, and his children, Joel and Alegría, between Durham and Chapel Hill, NC. Rafael A. Osuba (1967)0suba is a visual artist, author, cultural producer and storyteller.He loves to share memories and stories of his beloved Puerto Rico.As a child he lived in the ""La Mineral"" neighborhood in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and he says that they are his best childhood memories.
