I'm ""fine"", no other word is emptier, so rather than lie to myself I knew it was time to express. April's Showers is more than a title-it's a reflection of me. April is my name, and ""showers"" speaks to both my tears and the emotional storms I once kept bottled up inside. Over 70 poems for over the years that I held everything in trying to stay strong and in control. But when you bury pain long enough, it doesn't disappear. It erupts, messy and loud, like a ""volcano"" and that's what they use to call me. This collection is the result of choosing a different path. Instead of exploding, I started exploring. I began to feel things fully, to let the tears fall, and to write honestly. Each poem in this book is a step on that journey from trauma and chaos to awareness, expression, and healing. Poetry became my release, my mirror, and my safe place. Through it, I learned that storms don't only destroy they cleanse and foster growth. If you're carrying heavy things, I hope this book reminds you that it's okay to feel, to cry, to let it out. Healing isn't linear, but it is possible.
