Overview

The appeal of Apple Red Caboose to Middle Grade is the developing family dynamic between Nana and her grandchildren, Halie and Bobby, and their trip back into history. The storyline involves the reluctance of Halie toward an upcoming visit/trip with her Nana. Halie's thoughts of a boring visit change when Nana and her VW, Smiley, magically transport her and her brother into Civil War history. An Apple Red Caboose and a set of Imagination Hats continue their journey back to Civil War Gettysburg, PA. But will they be able to return home when Halie gets lost?
