Overview

The appeal of Apple Red Caboose to Middle Grade is the developing family dynamic between Nana and her grandchildren, Halie and Bobby, and their trip back into history. Halie is reluctant to go on an upcoming visit/trip to her Nana's. But Halie's thoughts of a boring visit change when Nana and her VW, Smiley, magically transport her and her older brother into Civil War history. An Apple Red Caboose and a set of Imagination Hats continue their journey back to Civil War Gettysburg, PA. But will they all be able to return home when Halie gets lost?
