OverviewNational bestselling author E. E. Knight revisits the Vampire Earth to tell a tale about David Valentine's fellow freedom fighter Ahn-Kha.... Captured and sold to the Kurian-allied Maynes Conglomerate to work as a slave in the coal mines of Appalachia, Ahn-Kha is angered and appalled by the dangerous working conditions and the brutal treatment inflicted upon his fellow miners. When a protest against shortages is deliberately and bloodily suppressed, Ahn-Kha sets himself against the ruling Maynes family and sets out on a trail of vengeance through the Coal Country. The people of the Coal Country now have a leader--a powerful and battle-hardened leader determined to forge them into an army that will wage guerrilla warfare against the Maynes family and their Kurian masters--and free the Appalachians from their tyranny.... Knight is an award-winning writer of sci-fi/fantasy/horror popular fiction. He is the author of the bestselling Vampire Earth series, a post-apocalyptic saga in which the Earth is under the heel of a race of extraterrestrial vampires, as well as the Age of Fire series. Knight was born in Wisconsin, grew up in Minnesota, and now calls Chicago home, where he abides in domestic felicity with his family and assorted pets. Richard Rohan is a stage, film, and voice-over actor who has narrated hundreds of audiobooks over the last decade, in every genre. He is particularly proud of his work as director and performer on the acclaimed Space Fantasy audio drama series Deathstalker. James Lewis is a fiction author who gets bored rather quickly. I bounce around several different genres. Basically, I fall in love with a character, setting, or idea, and I go for it. Danielle Cohen is an award-winning audiobook narrator who grew up reading anything and everything aloud. At the age of eight, she dreamed of being a newsreader or a stand-up comedian. When not narrating audiobooks, she can be found running with friends, playing board games with her husband and teenage daughters, or baking cake. She currently resides in Vermont. Ken Jackson is an in-demand narrator with a background in film and stage acting. Starting out as a singer/songwriter, Jonathan Sleep's first foray behind the microphone was with a guitar in his hand, kicking around the Atlanta local music scene. After graduating from Georgia State University with a film degree, he went to work developing and creating shows for a TV production company in Atlanta. When the opportunity came to narrate Robert Bevan's LitRPG/fantasy/comedy series Critical Failures, he jumped in with both feet and hasn't looked back since. The ever-growing collection of novels and short stories regularly tops Audible's bestsellers in the Dark Humor and Fantasy categories. While continuing to narrate audiobooks, Jonathan is broadening his VO horizons as he ventures into video games, animation, and commercial projects as well. Nick J. Russo is an award-winning narrator with a fan following for his work in fiction, specifically in the romance genre. His performances in two of Amy Lane's books, Beneath the Stain and Christmas Kitsch, made him the recipient of Sinfully M/M Book Review's Narrator of the Year for 2015. When he's not in the booth, Nick enjoys spending time with his wife, Jessica, and kids, (a.k.a. their beagle Frank and cat Stella), drumming in his cover band, exploring rural back roads with his wife on his motorcycle, or being enthralled in a tabletop role playing game with his friends.
