OverviewWith the ascension of the Capetian dynasty in 987, certain church reforms took place to address some of the concerns relating to the various ecclesiastical institutions in the kingdom. At the forefront of this was the senior French churchmen, Abbo of Fleury, was able to lead changes to the various royal monasteries and bishoprics.
