Overview

Aos Sidhe people of the faery mounds. They go by many names, in Scotland they are known as The Daoine Sith, in Ireland they are called The Daoine Maith, other names include the Shining ones, the gentry or the people of peace. They are the aristocrats of the Faery world. They are poets, singers, musicians, artists and reputed to be great lovers preferring human men and women over their own kind. Dont let these cultured beings fool you though their dandified appearance, they are fierce warriors and can be seen riding with Herne at the front of the wild hunt. They arrived in Ireland in ancient times long before records were kept and legend tells us that they came out of the mist in flying ships. and made their homes there spreading out into other Celtic countries They are reputed to be six to eight feet tall and are beautiful beyond description, wIth shoulder length hair and piercing blue eyes. Over the last five years more and more reported sightings have been recorded and it seems like our magical cousins are preparing to walk amongst us once again .

Author Information

My real name is not Mary Ann Benbow, these are taken from both my maternal and paternal grandmothers. Two wonderful Celtic ladies gave me my roots and a sense of belonging to an ancient race. From them, I inherited my love of Celtic spirituality, and the ability to see and communicate with the gentry or the good people. During my lessons at school, a teacher would often accuse me of being away with the fairies, if only they had known that I often was.
