This multi-authored volume covers the current clinically used anticancer agents that are either natural products or are clearly derived from natural product leads. Since over half of the current anticancer agents in clinical use are natural products or are derived from natural products, the book covers a large and important segment of this class. It also covers drug candidates that are in clinical development, which may be used in the future. The book is edited by two scientists from the National Cancer Institute who have contributed enormously to natural product development, and by one leading researcher on potential anticancer natural products.
