Richard Stanley Cagan, the author of two biographies, seven full-length novels, a collection of eleven short stories, five full length plays, poetry, two mini-plays, and one screenplay, has written the words and music to over 125 popular songs of diverse genre and has received songwriter and publisher royalties from BMI. Cagan has received a songwriters' award for his song One More Day, which was used to raise funds for farmers in need in New York State. Seven of his songs had been accepted by actor Amico Cagney to be used in the FARM AID Willie Nelson concert in the New York Yankee Stadium, an event that was funded by Mr. Cagney. He is the author of Mafia Cop: The Two Families of Michael Palermo; Saints Only Life in Heaven (Skyhorse Publishing, 2013).
