Author Information

Jacquetta is an author turned publisher who mainly specialises in long-distance routes for walkers and cyclists. In 2000, she founded her website (www.rucsacs.com), which now has a series of over 40 Rucksack Reader guidebooks to adventurous routes including trekking to Everest base camp and this guide to visiting Antarctica. She has written or co-authored about half of these titles and her photographs appear in nearly all of them. She has had a lifelong fascination with Antarctica and wrote this book to answer all the questions to which she struggled to find answers before booking her first trip.
