He is currently the Chair of the Biology Department and hold the David K. Goodman, Jr. '74 Endowed Chair in Biology Juniata College. He has received several awards for teaching and earned a grant from the National Science Foundation to create a comic book textbook called Optical Allusions for his Sensory Biology class.
