Overview

This story narrates the experience of Anselmo, a child robot who wakes up one day with an unexpected surprise: a new antenna on his head. As the days go by, he discovers that these antennas are related to his emotions: they grow when he feels emotionally affected and increases anxiety. Although at first he feels uncomfortable and worried about the antennas that keep appearing, he finds comfort and understanding in his mother, who explains to him that it is normal to feel affected by the things that happen in life. Anselmo learns to manage his anxiety and finds positive ways to deal with them, such as seeking the company of his loved ones and sharing his feelings. In the end, he understands that the key to overcoming his worries is to express his emotions and seek help when needed. This story written for kids can also help adults to understand their emotional world and teaches the importance of emotional health and self-knowledge. The story includes a graphic activity to do with the children that helps them to symbolize and express their emotions.
