Overview

The third eye, a sixth sense, clairvoyance, an inner eye, a sensitive, an empath, a psychic. There are many names for people that have the ability to see ghosts. It is an ability reserved for those very few that have a special gift, a talent, or perhaps it's a curse. Whatever we call it, there are those that see spirits in our everyday world, and wish they could not. Annie is one of these. This is her story, a true account of what it is really like to see ghosts wherever you go. Annie sees ghosts almost everyday. She has the third eye. She is what we call a 'Sensitive'. She did not ask for this ability. It is a curse, not a gift. In her daily life, she is smart, well educated, successful, and well respected in her field. Yet her days and nights are also interrupted by spirits, ghosts, lost souls, who want to get her attention. Some days she is frightened by what she sees or feels, some days she can just about handle it. She is always anxious. The stress affects her health, her blood pressure, her heart rate, yet she cannot explain to doctors or specialists. The constant intrusions into her normal life challenge her sanity, yet she cannot explain to therapists or psychiatrists. Annie cannot help but see spirits in everyday situations, in unexpected places, at dinner, when out for the day, with friends or family, or just alone with the TV. She cannot tell people what she sees for fear of being ridiculed, or thought of as a little bit crazy. Yet she somehow has to find the strength to continue life as normal, or at least to appear normal. It is a Singapore story. Annie sees ghosts at home in Singapore, in the typical places you'd expect such as Changi, but she also sees them where you wouldn't expect, in a mall, in the street, in a restaurant. Spirits seem to know that she can see them and are drawn to her. Nor are ghosts limited to Singapore, she sees them when she travels. Some of her worst experiences were overseas. This book is a faithful account of what she sees, and how they affect her life. It is a story that needed to be told, not just for Annie, but for those other Sensitives that live a secret life that they cannot share. This is not a sensational account. This story is not invented or exaggerated. Nor is it a story about ghost hunting and ghost hunters, those that claim they see a fleeting shape at a window, or hear a bump in another room, and chase ghosts with their energy meters, night vision, and infrared cameras. This is not one of those stories. Enjoy the book. Hopefully it will make you think, and perhaps wonder what exactly spirits are and how they exist. And maybe you could ask you friends if they too have the ability, but were afraid to tell anyone.
